Django is an eleven-year-old gypsy boy who lives with his family in an abandoned trailer near a train railway. Every morning his father jumps onto the train to hitch a free ride into town to look for food and earn money. In the mornings and evenings the father prepares his son to tackle the hardships of the life that are necessary to keep the family alive.

Hristo Simeonov is a filmmaker based in Sofia. He is a Berlinale and Sarajevo Talent Campus alumni. His short films are shown at international festivals like Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Palm Springs, Krakow, Cottbus, Molodist, Dresden, Bilbao, Triest, Thessaloniki, Vienna, Tel Aviv etc. His debut short film THE SON (2015) won the Main Short Film Prize at Cottbus Film Festival (2016) and Best Bulgarian Short Film at the Bulgarian Film Academy Awards (2016) and other 15 awards. Currently Hristo develops his first feature film.
