Sixteen Film Institute presents The Island, Julien Pujol’s haunting meditation on desire, time, intimacy, and our relationship to the natural world.
After travelling around the world, Nina and Mathieu arrive on a remote Estonian island to spend midsummer with friends. Surrounded by nature and ritual, they begin to confront the emptiness of their desires.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director.
