home in Sofia’s suburbs, determined to find back his sense of
freedom in the course of one day.
Alex Krasimirov is a Bulgarian director and screenwriter, born in 2000. He grew up in Paris, France, where he studied film studies at the Sorbonne University. He currently lives and works between Sofia and Paris. From a young age, he started creating short films, which he produced on his own. In 2024, he was selected for the prestigious “Talents Sarajevo: Director’s Summit” program, part of the Sarajevo Film Festival. His films have been screened at international festivals in France, Germany, Italy, Romania, and others. His latest short film, Black Dog, funded by the National Culture Fund, was nominated for Best Short Film at the “Vasil Gendov” Festival and the awards of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers, where it also had its Bulgarian premiere. He is currently working on a new short film project.
